March Update
I’ve been slacking on providing an update recently.
First, some audiobook news. Stephanie Savannah will be narrating the Heretic Spellblade audiobooks. She’s voiced William D. Arand’s Fostering Faust and Aaron Crash’s Princesses of the Ironbound, and I think the result will be great. Hope the few audiofans waiting for these can be patient for a couple more months, but they’re coming.
My next books are still in the works, but nearing completion. I’m working on two simultaneously, which has slowed things down. My plan is to release my next two books close together, as the Empire Reforged series is not widely read and I don’t want it sitting out on its own. Expect an April release for my next book (the demon general one), followed by the Empire Reforged book a couple of weeks later. I’ll announce more details right before I’m ready (for sure) to release.
I got enough beta reader interest that I didn’t need to do a separate signup. I’ll reach out soon-ish to confirm interest and details, so that I can send out the next book and get it released in April.
Thanks to everybody who commented on my last post (on either FB or my website). I didn’t reply to a lot of comments, but I did read all of them. They helped me to think things through on my end. I don’t know if I’ll make a follow-up post to it, as I’m not entirely happy I made that post to begin with (in retrospect), even if the response was extremely helpful and generally positive despite my tone.
Sorry for a quiet March. Things should become livelier for the next few months. I’ve been quietly working on a few things and writing some stuff for fun on the side to keep my creative momentum going. I’m wary of announcing some of this now, when I haven’t released anything for two months, so you can expect some non-book related news probably closer to June.
