A Delay
It’s never good to make two serious posts like this so close together, but here we are.
Neural Wraith 3 is delayed until March 31st. If you’ve pre-ordered it, Amazon should notify you.
February ended up being a brutal month for me, and I tried to do too much at once. The result is this delay, and a lot of problems on my end as I can't deliver the book I promised (and need to make some difficult and sometimes expensive decisions due to IRL conflicts). Amazon doesn’t like delayed pre-orders, so I’ll be taking significantly more care in the future about committing to books in the future, especially when I’m already busy.
The delay will ensure the book is good, rather than a rush job purely to meet a deadline I shouldn’t have set for myself.
I expect to take a break after this and sort things out. That likely means the schedule I posted is basically garbage. Anyway, there’ll be time to worry about the future once the next book is out.

The early parts of the book feel a little like writing a cyberpunk thriller and the book description reads that way, but I expect to ease up on that later on. Even so, you can probably expect the same differences in vibe here that you saw between books 1 and 2. The fun of an episodic series - same characters and setting, but the different scenarios and focus allow for some very different experiences.
Change of Plans
Very quick update. Due to some IRL conflicts and personal stuff, I’ve had to switch my next book to Neural Wraith 3. It should be out in March still and I’ll post when the pre-order is up. Chapters are going up on Patreon and there’s more info up there if you care about that stuff.
I know this will disappoint a few people, but the alternative was to either release a very undercooked Heretic Spellblade 6 or, more likely, not to release any book until May or later. Neural Wraith is a much easier series to write due to each book being episodic and much shorter.
As I’m taking a break from writing in March, I’ll revisit my schedule in April. You can expect that Heretic Spellblade will be my next book, but there is likely to be some bigger changes to the rest of the year once I have some time to properly consider things.
In brighter news, the audiobook for Neural Wraith 2 should be out on the 21st March and you can expect to see the pre-order go up on Audible soon. I can hopefully post the link alongside the Neural Wraith 3 preorder.
Demon’s Throne 3 Audio is Live
My recent long train of audio releases comes to an end today with the release of Demon’s Throne 3’s audio. I’m extremely happy with how the new version done by Stephanie Savannah and Podium came out, and I hope you are as well. There’s lots to enjoy in this book: lots of fluffy foxes, more Darus, and some twists and turns to keep you guessing.

Emperor Awakened Audio is Live
The first of my two audiobooks this month is up on Audible now. If you enjoyed Emperor Forged, then make sure you grab its sequel, Emperor Awakened. As I mentioned last time, this was my first series, before Heretic Spellblade. Despite that, the performance put in by Gabriel Michael and Katana Jones remains fantastic.

Note that the audio version includes an extra epilogue that I added just for it. If you read the book without it, you should be able to manually update your copy to include it or you can just grab the audiobook and listen to it.
2023 Schedule
Time for a hopefully accurate publishing schedule for the year. After last year, I’m going with a more relaxed approach to my books. There may be extras in between, but this is just what I’m committing to in the hopes of finally getting on top of things. In practice, this doesn’t change my publishing pace (it’s still 4 book a year) but I’ll stop trying to compete with the book a month or faster folks, as it’s just not worth the hassle.
Before I jump into things, know that the Emperor Awakened audio is up for pre-order and will be out on the 21st. Demon’s Throne 3 audio will be out on the 31st. Links below.

December Update
2022 is almost over and I can’t really believe it. The year’s flown by. Can’t say I’ve gotten anywhere near as much down as I hoped to, although part of that is because I got burned out and needed a lengthy break. I’m pretty bad at schedules but that threw a really bad wrench in the works.
Before I go any further, Neural Wraith 2 news. It’s my next book and it’s up for pre-order, with a release date of 3 Jan. Earlier might have been possible, but I’m going to try doing an actual pre-order (and this will help keep me honest, as I’m already very behind). Chapters are going up on Patreon right now.

It's audiobook month for me, and it's time for Demon's Throne. Stephanie Savannah has done a great job voicing a wide variety of characters and accents and it was a treat to listen to while I was traveling recently (and makes me wish I'd written more Darus Twins scenes).
